The Center of Greek Music by Local Artists is housed in the building of the Cultural Foundation and also functions as Music History Museum. It was established to gather, preserve and promote the rich musical heritage of the city of Trikala.
Trikala gave birth to unique composers, songwriters and performers such as: Vasilis Tsitsanis, Apostolos Kaldaras, Kostas Virvos George Samoladas Christos Kolokotronis Dimitris Mitropanos. In the Center of Greek music you will find personal belongings, manuscripts, musical scores, books, records, cassettes, video tapes, printed materials, golden discs and everything related to the life and work of the creators of Trikala. There are also presentations of opera singer, Dimitri Kavrakos and also pianist Dimitris Sgouros.
The presentations include audio-visual and photographic material from their artistic career.
